Sir Robert Baden-Powell was guest at a luncheon at which there was present a representative gathering. The luncheon was held at Hyde Park Hotel as an introduction in the forthcoming Jamboree of 30,000 Scouts from fortytwo nations. Australian and New Zealand Scouts at the Jamboree will help to eat—Bo,ooo eggs, 10 tons bacon, 3 tons of sugar, 10 tons of cheese, 3 tons of tea, 5 tons of suet, 8 tons of rice, 200 tons of bread* 15,000 packets of cereal food.
