MAN EXPIRES AFTER WITNESSING HORSE WIN. (United Pres. Association*—By El.ctr'. T.legr.ph—Copyright.) (Received Nov. 11, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 11. ' A commercial traveller, named Alexander Spence (53), dropped dead after witnessing the Canterbury races yesterday. A thief stole Mr Spence’s diamond pin immediately he fell. A betting ticket for £l4 on the winner was found in his pocket, together with thirty notes.
