PEEL FOREST.
MINIATURE RIFLES. On Saturday night the Peel Forest Miniature Rifle Club held their weekly shoot. A trophy donated by Mr Pringle, and a second trophy donated by Mr A. Poppiewell, were shot for. The following were the best scores registered off the rifle: —J. Rees 34, F. Johnstone 34, E. Foden 33, A. Pringle 33, F. Cain 32, F. Cooling 32, F. Stevenson 32, G. Fifield 31, W. Jenkins 31, L. Timson 31, G. Wooding 30, F. Heney 30, F. Eaton 29, C. Johnstone 29, E. Allan 25. Last week’s trophy was won by A. Pringle, with G. Fifield runner-up. On Saturday night twelve Members tied for the trophies. After the third shoot off, F. Eaton (handicap 6), F. Cooling (5), E. Foden (3), and ,J. Rees (1) still tied. The shoot off will be finished next Saturday night. NOTES.
On Friday, the electric light will be officially switched on at the Peel Forest Hall. Residents of Peel Forest will hold their annual ball on July 27th.
