THE RIALTO. • H. Allchurch and 00. report for the week ended Juno 16th: — At our weekly Rialto sale on Friday, we had a very heavy entry ot poultry, ft) pens ot various grades boing entered, but only 10 pigs were yarded. The market showed an increase in price of both poultry and pigs. Prices realised were as follows : Poultry.—Hens, heavy, 3s 3d to 4s 6d, otheis 2s 6d to 2s 9d, cockerels, heavy, 4s fid to 5s 9d, others 2s 9d to 4s; roosters 3s 3d to 4s fid, ducks 6a 3d to 0s 6d pair. Pigs.—Woaners 12s, 13s fid, 15s each, slips 20s and 225. Produce. —Wheat 16s to 22s 6d, barley 15s, potatoes 10s to 12s, inferior lines Ba, oat sheaf chaff 6s sack, bacon, rolls, to lid lb, honey, bulk, 5d to fid lb, pickling onions 6s cental, smaller lots is lb, cauliflower 3s to 4s dozen, cabbage la to 3a dozen, leck3 3s to 4s dozen bundles, swedes Is fid to 2s kit), seed potatoes 2Jd to 4d lb. Fruit.—Apples, dessert fis to 9s case, cookers 4s fid to 7s case, walnuts 9tl lb, pears 2s fid to 4s 3d case. Eggs.—Heavy supplies of Circle eggs continue to come to hand, and the demand haa eased slightly. Prices, however, remain unchanged at 2s cozen. A line of preserved eggs realised Is 4d dozen. Furniture and Efi’octe.—On Friday we disposed of a fair quantity of furniture and effects at satisfactory prices, M o also disposed of several articles of furniture private!- during the week. Property Department.—Business in this department, especially town property, shows a marked improvement.
