POT POURRI.

To make pot pound take the sweetest full-blown roses, lavender flowers, bergamot, jessamine, lemon, verbena, and any other sweet-smelling flowers or leaves. They should bo gathered on a fine morning, to be free from any moisture. Pull the flowers to pieces, spread them on trays and put in a sunny place until flower petals are perfectly dry. Then add cloves, orris root, pimento, musk, sandalwood raspings, ei-mamon and cedar shavings m about the proportion of half an ounce each to half a- pound of the dried flowers. Ilruise them .slightly, and mix them with the flowers. Then place them all in jars. Care must he taken that the flowers are absolutely dry before putting them in jars, as otherwise they will Yery soon smell mouldy.
