M lien the police searched the wliare of Edward Karans who was found dead in the street on Tuesday niaht, they were surprised to find in a biscuit tin a- hoard of £IOOO. The okl man had evidently been putting bv during h : s 52 vears’ sojourn in the district. There was no will, ami there are no known relations. The Public.. Trustee has taken charge of the hoard in the meantime.
