INFECTIOUS DISEASES.

FIGURES FOR SOUTH , CANTERBURY. Mr J. Mcnzies (District Inspector of Health) advises that ten cases of infectious diseases were notified as existing in the South Canterbury District during the month of April. Of the cases notified, two, were scarlet lever, two- diphtheria-, five tuberculosis, and were from tho various parts ot the district as follows : Tima ni Borough: 1 diphtheria, 1' tuberculosis. AVaimate Borough: 2 scarlet fever, 1 tuberculosis. Levels County: 1 diphtheria. Mackenzie County: 1 tuberculosis. AVaimate County: 2 tuberculosis. No cases were notified from Temuka and Geraldine Boroughs, Geraldine County and Pleasant Point Town Board District.
