SAN FRANCISCO, April 30. .When the Canadian owners broug ht an action in the- District Court, to ascertain why the Government did not release the vessel seized for carrying liquor, in view of the decision of the American Court, the United States Attorney (Mr Haiti eld) announced that the Federal Government officials wore aware that the seizure was illegal, and the vessel would be released next week. (The Minister of the Republic of Panama, at Washington, Dr. Ricardo J. Alfaro, delivered a. Note to the United States Government concerning the seizure of the Canadian vessel, the Federalsliip, which seizure was declared illegal by Federal .Judge Bourquin. The Note asked for a report on the seizure of the ship, which was registered at Panama, and tor information regarding her status, in view of the decision or the fTiin Francisco Courts).
