The Riga correspondent of. tho “Daily Mail,” says: It is reported from Moscow that the trial on charges of high treason of Trotsky, Zinovieff, Kamcneff, and Radek begins on October 20, before the Communist Party’s Central Committee. CRIME OF OPPOSITIONISTS. DISCUSSING STALIN’S POLICY. . (Received October 12, 8.50 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. “The Russian oppositionists are reported to have sunk their own differences and appointed Trotsky their lender in the new revolution,” says a Moscow message received in Berlin. Stalin has invested tho chief of the secret police with dictatorial powers for the suppression of the movement. It is stated that the trial of Zinovieff and Piatakoff, before tho Central Control Committee,' has begun in the Kremlin.
Trotsky also is on trial. The charges against all three are violation of party discipline in openly discussing the policy of Stalin and the Political Bureau. In consequence of tho demands they received, they could not decline, with safety, to attend the inquiry before the Central Control Commission.
