The Kuiapoi consignment from both Timaru and Lyttelton, when she left Lyttelton on Tuesday, was in tho vicinity of 10,000 sacks.- Some wore seed. The lvatoa is duo to sail next Tuesday from Lyttelton, after loading at Timaru, and sales ior her are oil a basis of £4 f.o.b. s.i. The Sydney market keeps steady at £ll per ton, but there is not much inquiry for tubers by the Whangape, duo to sail next Tuesday for that port. It is expected tha t her cargo wi i ho smaller than that by recent boats. Oats arc weaker. Southern quotations mention 3s lid to 4s for A. oracle .Cartons, and 3s 9d for B. grade, f.o.b. s.i. Local prices, of course, are another 4d better than this. There are few local oats of any sort about. Perennial ryegrass remains firm at 5s 9d for good weight seed. Tho Mo-’v> inquiry continues, but the margin for business is very small. Italian ryegrass also is a little firnieiv and 4s 3d f.o.b. s.i. a bushel has been paid. PROPERTY SALES. Yesterday Dalgety and Co. submitted to auction, oil account of Mr James Median, liis “Wyalong” farm of 103 acres at Kingsdown. The property had been subdivided into lots, ranging in area from 1 to 18 acres. Lot 1, at corner of the Main South Road and Talbot’s road, 'containing one acre, was first offered. The bidding opened at £3O and ran to £57, at which figure Mr W. Jackson (Scarborough) was the purchaser. Lot 2, adjoining lot 1, oil tho Main South Road, and containing 1J acres, was also bought by 3lr W. Jackson. In this case the bidding started at £4O and reached £62. For lot 3, containing 1£ acres, facing Talbot’s road, the bidding started at £4O, and went to £7O, at which figure Mr Jackson was again tho purchaser. Lot 4, 1} acres, on Talbot’s road, was passecl in at £SO Lot 5,3 J acres, on Talbot’s road, was passed in at £95. For lot 9, 9 acres, on Daniels’s road, flic best offer was £IBO. but tlio auctioneer declined to consider this. Lot HI. adjoining lot 9, was passed in at £2OO. For lot 01, 9 acres, there was no bid. Lot 15, 5£ acres, at the junction of tho Alain South Road and Daniels’s road (the block with a bhiogum plantation on it), the best offer was £220, and at this figure it was passed in. It was decided, at this stage, not to offer any more sections by auction. Tbe same firm then offered a farm of 93 i acres near Makikihi, being part of the Makikihi swamp. Ridding started at £ls per acre and ran to £22, when the auctioneer announced that a little more was wanted.
