SOUTH CANTERBURY SOCIETY’. A meeting of the committee of the South Canterbury War Relict ■ Society was held yesterday. G. S. Cray (chairman), W. H. Oibell, M. Thompson, Mr. H. Tnpp, J. Kennedy, and A. Wilson. , The balance sheet, as at September 30, showed sundry cre <btors,_£7 Us id; accumulated fund £19,826 8s Id, less excess of expenditure over income of 1T626 53 Id. The cash in the bank totalled £lB6 4s lOd, and investments to £14,500. Advances to soldiers totalled £3517. The revenue account for the year ended September 30 was Commenting on the balance Blieot, the chairman said their expenditure had been. something Idle £I6OO in excess cf that of last year. . , , Mr J. Kennedy, on behalf of the Geraldino branch, reported, that they still had a few cases on the lisb at Geraldino, but there’ was nothing fresh— The report was received. , It was deckled to held the annual meeting on November-19.
