Mr Burnett was thanked for his suggestions, but it was considered that the transport difliculties in connection with bringing , down a rock large enough for the purpose would be almost insurmountable.

A great deal of consideration was given to (lie question of selecting a memorial in lieu of that previously decided upon and subsequently abandoned on account of cost. Finally it was decided to adopt, tentatively, a design somewhat in the nature of a cenotaph, and it was agreed that plans and specifications for this should he procured.
