In response to a letter received from a prominent medical man, stressing the danger of persons contracting pneumonia and other diseases, while standing bareheaded at funeral services, when bodily resistance was lowered by grief, tho Council of Churches agreed that it would be wise for all ministers officiating at funerals to ask mourners to uncover their heads only for the actual committal of tho body to the ground.
