Merinos are unchanged. New Zealand clip brought 16d (top), 14£d (average). Scoured New Zealand wool, R in Diamond, brought 26d per lb.

At the woolled sheepskin sales there was a large attendance and good competition, with fair American demand. Merinos, compared with May sales, advanced 5 per cent., fine crossbreds 5 to 10 per cent., medium 10 to 15 per cent., low 5 to 10 per cent. Burry and inferior sorts were irregular. DALGETY’-S REPORT. Sheepskin sales. —The attendance of buyers is good; good competition from Home trade, Continent and America. As compared with last sales’ closing rates, merino combing skins are very firm; crossbred combing skins 7% per cent, higher on average; sheep skins clothing firm.
