MISHAP TO MOTORIST. By Telegraph—Hon. CARTERTON, May 8. A man named J. Cardno, a traveller for the Kaiapoi Woollen Mills, was picked up on the’roadside at Clareville by the Qarterton police last night; Cardno was driving a high powered car, and it is thought he sustained a stroke; He was found lying on the ground alongside the car-. He was taken-to the police station for medical attention, and this morning was sent to Masterton for treatment-.
