Thirty-two members of tho Sydney Engine Drivers’ and Firemen’s Union, who coased work at tho Government dockyard, Walsh Island, resumed yesterday morning under the same conditions that existed before the dispute.
The hotels, tea rooms, and restaurants aro nearly all closed as a result of the employees’ stop-work meeting. The strikers aro picketing premises to prevent tho public entering. A few demonstrations occurred. Tho Acting-President of the Arbitration Court has called a. compulsory conference of the parties.
