The monthly meeting of the Board of Managers oi_ the Temuka Technical •Classes, was iield on Thursday evening Present-Messrs G. B. Cartwrighb (m the chair), A. Frew P. A. Acheson, E. B Cooper, J. J. Ellis, F. Saunders, J. Bambndge, G. W. Armitago, Geo Thomson, and the Director, Mr J. t! Smart. An apology was received from Mr H. McLeod.

The chairman said that the bookkeeping, ' dairying and carpentry classes had begun since last meeting. Mr A. M. Paiterson was having good attendances at the dairying class, but the present train arrangements had "interfered with the carpentry .class, and had. to be temporarily abandoned. Tlie supervisor _ of the Technical Classes tvrdte stating that the Board's claim for capitation £67 19s 2d had been paid. Mr E. B. Cooper, one of the visitors, said that he had visited the carpentry class, and everything was very satisfactory and attendance was good. Mr Cart-wright stated thai he had visited the book-keeping and dressmaking classes, the latter clas<? having a first rait© attendance.
