MAIL NOTICES.

At the Chief Post Office, Timaru,. subject to any necessary alterations, mails will close as under:—

For offices in North, Island daily, 6 a.m.

For Christchnrch and intermediate offices daily, 6 a.m.

For Christchnrch, Ashburton, and intermediate offices Tuesday and Saturday, 2 p.m. ;

For Oamnru, Dunedin, Invercargill and intermediate offices between Timaru and Dunedin, 6 a.m. daily.

For Oainaru, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 1 p.m.

For Fairlie, Pleasant Point, Cave, and Albury, etc., Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 2 p.m. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday all places on Fairlie line will be served by motor service, closing 6 a.m.

For Waimate and district, Tuesday, .Thursday, and Saturday, 6 a.m. Registered articles and parcels intended for despatch in mails closing at 6 a.m. must be presented at public counter not later than 5 p.m. on previous day. By motor service daily for ChristAurch, Asliburton, Wellington, Auckland, Wanganui and. New Plymouth, 10 a.m.; also Waimate, Oamaru, Palmerston, »ad Dunedin at noon (letters only).

Monday, August 4th, a t 6 a.m. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, also North and South America, per Waimana, from Wellington.

For Australian States, India, China Japan, Ceylon, Straits Settlements' »gypt and South Africa per Prinzessin. from Auckland. Money orders 4 p.m. and registered letters 5 p.m. previous day.

Thursday, August 7th, at 6 a.m. _For Cook Islands, Tahiti, Samoa Honolulu, Penrhyn Island, United states of America, Canada, Central America, United Kingdom,* Continent of Europe VJa San Francisco, oer Moana from Wellington.
