NI*I?SING DIVISION. The annual meeting of the Nursng Divis'.on of St. John Ambulance D'v.- : sion was held in ;ko Ambulance Hull! on Wednesday. Resolutions of sympathy were pas.-e-.l to Mr Segar and his lain ly in the :•! Into sad lo~s, and to Mrs Miu'tie in the i sad loss ol" her husband. \ The •Snperintend-.nt repcrted as follows :—Several new members hare joined the Div.Vuibf during the year, and the roll now stands at ;U. The attendance at tli-'!l ami lectures lias been good, notwithstanding; ilie fact that no medical man was available. A very inteaes:ing demonstrat on of invalid cookery was given by the instructress at the Technical School, hut unfortunately owing to the inclement, weather the was small. Many cases of transport • have l)eeu done by this Division during the year. w The thanks of *'io Division are duo ■to Superintendant Smth. of the Men's. Brigade, who has given a great deal nf his t'ni!' to lectures and drill. The Division has alwavs taken the greatest interest, i: ibo : r Bed Cress wurk. and although r.ot working as a guild the jnd vidua! ineinliers lu-long io the own Guilds and a record is kept of the work done. During the recent ep-dem'-c the luem'tiers did splendid work and had the opportunity of the practical work which is s-.; essential. Many svere attached to the tent hospital at the Park, some were, at thf Tcclniea! School, some were engaged m the transport of food to the various homes, some were at the Convalescent Home and others did individual work. "We wish to place "n record our appreciation of the gfott work don.?' by all these women who answered tne appeal at once, and we also wish to thank the employers who released the ambulance workers immediately.
