TRINITY CONCERT. The fourth concert of the Trinity : Choir is to he given this evening. It takes tho form of "An evening with. Mendelssohn," a lecture with vocal and instrumental illustrations. The proprietor of the rink (Mr W7 R. McGrath) has all the arrangements very complete; tho floor is in excellent order, and it is quito safxj to ray that Olympia will present a gay and merry scene to-night. For the convenience of any who might not have had time to procure costumes of their , own, tho rink manageinent will have • costumes on hire. HARVARD'S PICTURES. .' / The final screening of Hayward's current series was greeted by a good , audience, who displayed much en thus!" s asm. The programme which has been a very successful one, was fully up to the high standard of excellence sob by the Hayward management, and fully < merited the splendid patronage <?<• tended to it. A now programme of great excel* lenoe will be shown to-night. Among the view pictures "The Birds and tho Breadcrumbs" stands as trump card. An old pianist loved to collect crusta to feed his friends, tho birds. One day, a hungry l,ttlo girl came and fed witu them; touched by pity tho old artist' adopted her as his child. She bewj l»-» a great dancer and goes on tour. Sbo learns her old father is sick and sad in her absence. She returns by/the first train and finds him' feeding hi» little friends. Her tenderness and caro soon restored him to health and happiness. "New Zealand Animated Record" is one of those pleasing subjects depleting items of interest recorded in the Dominion. Among the views shown will ho "Tho Whip" Company arriving in Christchmch mid the Sheffield Choir on hoard tho. Mararon at Lyttelton. "At the White Man's Door" is another of tho famous Indian films by tho Vitagraph Company, a highly melodramatic story well workod out to a tragic close "Japanese Landscapes" unfolds some realistic* beauties from tho Far East, some pnrte of which bear a striking resemblance to our Rotorua regions. The cotnio element will not lie wanting, mid "Exploits" of an Admirer of Napoleon" is a ludicrous film of unusual merit. Tnkw all in all, tlie programme is ono that everyone should see. FULLERS' PICTURES. The Theatre Royal again hela a, largo number of picture patrons lust evening, when tho current series' were finally screened. Tho Wuugiimii Football team were among the audience as guests of the manager, and tho orchestra playing, out of compliment to thorn, "On the Ball," the visitors eang tho chorus very heartily. For to-night's change a good serial is promised. "Patho's Gazette" will ihow up-to-date snaps, and it is always a popular feature of tho programme. "The Bolted Door," is a fine dramatic study, splendidly acted. A delicate industrial film, "Tho Manufacture lif Gas Mantles," will he interesting to everyone. A simple story in a light vein, telling the love of a successful ' actress [or a less fortunate singer ot the opposite 601, is entitled "The Actress and the Singer," and as usual has a happv conclusion. "Tho Eternal City," shows sonio exquisite viows or Rome, and a delightful Roman tun set. "The Inherited Taint:' is an in, tensely pathetic dramatic subject, dealing with tho Tuinous lite of .«. young man, and although sad, carries a. moral that cannot fail to impress. Vitagraph comedies are popular «ud in "Betty becomes u Maid" faaulioj faces aro seen in something new, "Edna's Imprisonment" iis a stirring Story, tho chief incident in which, » young lady bong locked, in an iron safe is indeed sensational.
