THE WANGANUI MATCH The Wanganui touring team arrived in Timaru by the second express yesterday, under the management of Mr Reynolds. The visitors (md a breather on Caroline Bay in the afternoon, and last evening attended Fullers' Pictures as the guests of the proprietors. "With the wind in their favour the Maoris made a fair showing in the first spell, but were on the defence in most of the second, and the game ended Wellington 26, Maoris 5. Cook (Wellington) scored a brilliant try, securing in his own 25 lie bent the whole of the opposition in the face of a strong wind.
