The Conservative platform for the coming elections has been issued, and contains as its main planks, reform in public expenditure, removal of the present extravagances, granting the right of control over their natural resources to tho Prairie Provinces, tho construction of tho Hudson Bay railway, encouragement of the chilled meat industry, the establishment of a permanent tariff commission, liberal grants for improvement in agriculture, the maintenance of tho independence of tho Canadian Parliament in its own affairs, but with an endeavour to find tho highest ideal in the autonomous development of Canada as a nation within the Empire.
