A hundred thousand roses wore used upon a trellis of green, giving the house the appearance of an old-fashioned garden, in which tie boxes wore deeply, receded. Ihe balcony was inscribed vith "Australia" and'"New Zealand," and the raims <,f the other dominions in pink roses. TH.R- COLONIAL TROOPS. The Prince of Wales, Princess Mary, and Prince George, inspected the oversea troops at Chelsea, and received an ovation. ' l ' The Prince of Wales subsequently inspected the" Colonial Cadets, and' was greatly interested in the young sons of the Empire. Ho accepted a set of badges. The New Zealanders performed a haka.
A CITY FEAST. The Grocers' Company banqueted the overseas Parliamentarians. Sir John Quick, responding for the Australian represenl - : ves, declared that t Australians were even more Imperial than Britishers in their aspirations. Aus-tralians-would like to see an Imperial partnership with preferential trade with the Empire, and a common, share of the burdens and responsibilities.
