THEATRE ROYAL.
PATHE PICTURES. Last evening the Pa the Picture Company presented an entirely new programme to a large and most appreciative audience. The iilms were varied, embracing a great many subjects, scenic, dramatic "and comic. Three scenic pictures stand out especially, Volcanoes of Oceania.. Paris alter the Floods, and Scenes in Scutari. The first is a wonderful film, an educational treat in itself, showing the great volcanoes and sulphur springs of Oceania. The film ends with a beautiful panoramic view «>f the peaks, this part of the film, being exquisitely tinted. "Paris after the Floods" gives one an ! idea of the terrible damage done by the flooded river. The film depicting scenes in Scutari, Turkey, is a very line one, of the various scenes and customs of the place. Perhaps the best set on the programme is that entitled Richelieu, an exciting story of conspiracy against the Cardinal, and his tinal triumph. The other dramatic lilms, anions which are "A True Indian's Heart" and "Mercedes," are jxcellent, in each case combining splendid dramatic and scenic effects. The comic films brought forth roars of laughter, and all are refined and enjoyable. "Grandeur and Decadence" is a screamingly funny thing, while the others are very little behind it. The same programme will be shown tonight.
