A fatal accident occurred to-day at a contracting camp at Waipuna, about 30 miles ;rom Napier. During blasting operations a piece of rock struck one of the workmen, John Greenawav, on the head, rendering him unconscious". The injured man was brought into the Napier Hospital this afternoon. An examination showed that the skull was fractured, and Greenaway died at 7.30 this evening. Deceased ™ s about 26 years of age, a£& unmarried!
