The decline of consols to 90 3-16 is attributed, besides the automatic reduction, to the expectation of the Transvaal loan yielding 3 per cent., and sales by holders, largely American and others abroad, who purchased at 96 on the eve of the declaration of peace. They are also affected by the prospective financial requirements of the Irish Land Bill. The American visible supplv of wheat is estimated at 72,246,000 bushels. Copper, on spot, £63 5s 3d per ton; three months; £63 7s 6d. Lead, £l3 5s 9d per ton.
