MAIL NOTICES.
Subject to any necessary - alterations mails will close as under:— Thursday, August 22nd. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Tarawera at 4.30 p.m. Friday, August 23rd. For the Australian Colonies, via Wellington and Northern Ports of New Zealand per Monowai, at 6: a.m. Saturday, August 24th. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe (specially addressed (via Suez), South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, etc., and Australian Colonies (via Bluff), per Waihora, at 2.30 p.m. Due in London on October Bth. The next English mail, via Son Francisco, is due' in Timaru on August 22nd. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Hauroto, close at Auckland on August 28th, at 3 p.m. Mails for Natal and Capetown leave Sydney per Warrigal on 2nd September, and per Moravian on 3rd ' September.
