This year the society had to make its ( own arrangements for the management of the luncheon and refreshment booth, as well as for a social evening on the last night of the show. The expenditure includes £2O specially authorised to be spent on the stock yards, which are a permanent improvement. Beside this asset the society possesses ropes and material of considerable value. On the motion of Messrs Bray and Guthrie, it was resolved that the pay-sheet for prizes, labour, etc., b« passed for payment.

The chairman, in criticising the statement, said that he thought the society should be congratulated on the success of the show, and that full credit should be given to the secretary for his efforts, especially in connection with the refreshments.

It was resolved that the turnip competition be judged during the coming week, Messrs F. R. Gillingham and F. J. LeCren to be judges. A complaint ffronn Mr W. J. Shute, as to the judging in one of the dog classes, was not considered, on the ground that by tha rules all protests had to be made in writing on the day of the show, and that now the society were bound by the judge's decision.
