DUNEDIN, Sept. 13. CATTLE. 267 head of fat cattle were yarded. Heifers were greatly neglected, while best bullocks were 10s per, head lower. A few extra prime and h^avy showed no change. Heavy prime bullocks pold at £7 15a to £8 I<Ss6rf. good £6 to £7 10s, others £4 5s t > £5 15a, best cow* and heiffrs £4 to £5 10d, others £3 2d 6d to £3 12a 6d. SHEEP. 2887 fat shpep were penned, a largp proportion being prime medium weights with a few pens extra heavy and about 450 merino wethera. Buyers for export wre present, hut their limits were low, about 2d per lb. Butchers bid freely for suitable lines. Very heavy wethera sold fit 19s, others 16s 6d to 17*, average wethers 15s to 16s 3d, lighter 13a to 14s 9d, prime crossbred ewes 13s to 14a 91, others 12s to 12s 9d, hogi.'ei3 9* 6d to 12s 6d, extra merino wethera 14s 6d to 15s 6d, others 9s to 12*. PIGS. 146 pigs were penned and light porkers Bold well at lat* 1 rates. Extra heavy ba«:onera 50s to 60-<, ordinary 3Ss to47n, porkers 27* to 33s stores 18d to 25a, suckers 11s to 16s 6d. GHAIN. Wheat.— There, ia a slightly better tone m the grain market, though prices for wheat cannot be quoted as higher. Prime tunean is quoted at 2s 5d to 2s 6id, red sorts 2s 3 1 to 2s 4d, fowl feed up to 2d for host whole. Oats. The market is better this week, though a slight advance has curtailed the demand. Wh:»t the re.milt will be is hard to predict, but while not many lines are offering the stores are fairly full. Prime milling is quoted up to la sid, beat feed la 3id to la 4id, medium lslid to Is 31.
