_ .» Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 7. At the Wesleyan Conference this morning the following were appointed Board Examiners for 1898 :— Rev. Messrs
W. J. Williams, J. H. Simmonds, W. Gittoa, Dewsbury, Garland, Spence, Smalley, McNicol, Martin, Oldham, Laws, Pinfold, S. Lawry, Luxford, Beecroft, and Dukes. The obituary of the late Rev. John Dellow was read by the secretary, and spoken to by the ex-president and the Rev. W. Morley. The Rev. Mr Buttle presented the report of the Connexional trust properties, which was adopted. TheKev. J. H. Simmonds was thanked as principal of Three Kings College, and was reappointed. The thanks of the Conference were presented to the Board of Governors of the Prince Albert College, and the following were appointed :— Messrs T. Buddie, S. J. Ambury, and A. C. Caughey. The ministerial members are to be appointed after the third reading of the stations. At the Wesleyan Conference, the Rev. C. Griffin presented the report of the Foreign Missions Committee, which with slight amendments was adopted. Mr O. Hicks was appointed general secretary to foreign missions m New Zealand, and the Leeston minister was appointed to act with the secretary as a committee. At this stage the president made a presentation of a portfolio to the Rev. D. J. Murray, secretary of the Conference. The Rev. W. Morley presented his report as connexional secretary, and was heartily thanked and reappointed. Mr W. Harris, the treasurer, was thanked and reappointed. The Rev. W. J. Williams presented the balance sheet of the Home Mission Fund, showing a total income of £3074 12s Id, and an expenditure of £3373 19s Bd.
