TEMPERANCE CONVENTION.
(By Telegraph.) WELLINGTON, May 31, At a largely attended meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Alliance held this evening it was resolved to hold a colonial convention of representatives of all the temperance societies from all over the colony m Wellington about the first week m July. A large number of delegates have already promised to attend, and it is expected that the gather* ing will be one of the largest and most representative ever held m the colony.
