CUSTOMS REVENUE.
« (By Teleoraph.) WELLINGTON, June 1. Tho oxnet amount of tho Customs revenue collected during tho past month is not yet known, as tho returns from Kaipara and Tauranga havo not yet been received. The amount known to have been collected is £143,880 Os !od, tho principal contributions being : — £ s. d. Dunedin 38,390 10 11 Auckland 32,254 8 4 Lvttclton and Christchurch ... 27,887 2 8 Wellington ... 23,318 3 9 Tlio amount, collected m April of this year was £101,553 17e, so that last month'B collections top it by over £10,000. The estimate was £104,166 13s 4d.
