ARRIVAL OF THE BRITISH QUEEN.

DUNEDIN, Oct. 11. The stoamer British Queen arrived fron London to-day, after a passage from Plymoutl of 15 days 7 hoars -55 minutes. She onli brings 509 souls, 147 of whom are for Timan and Christchurch. These left by special trail at 5 o'clock this evening. The steamor'; draught when she crossed the bar at three quarter flood was 21 feet aft. There were twe cases of scarlatina shortly after leaving Plymouth, but it was prevented from spread ing.
