Solicitor : Dr Foster. - BnOKER : Mr W. S. Maslin. Tho Provisional Directors present this Prospectus to the public generally, and at the samo time would direct the special attention of Farmers m the immediate district to soino of tho advantages secured by making Dairy Produce under tho Factory system. (1.) It is nn accepted commercial axiom that where tho greatest quantity of any article can be made at a given price the profits | thereon are greater, and tho success of tho enterprise is moro fully assured. (2.) The cost of manufacturing is proportionably less to the quantity made by the I minia of price paid for the raw material, the economising of the necessary labor, the use of the be3t ' and latest machinery, and the centering of all the operations m one establishment specially designed for tho purpose, the whole being carried on under the supervision of a thoroughly practical Manager, thereby securing tho utmost quantity obtainable from the raw material and a uniformity of quality which becomes m the markets a standard commodity of a certain value. (3.) A combination of capital and the interests inseparable therefrom, as herein proposed, opens for itself a market, of consumption no privately directed scheme can ever attain, while the opportunities for improvement are immeasurably greater, and tho certainty o.tjnore speedy returns at tho highest rates secured. - - - ■ (I.) In the sale of his milk to the Company the Farmer finds a sure andeasy wayof atoncc of converting this resource into ensh, as it is intended to settle for tho milk by monthly payments, thus avoiding on the one hand the disposing of either the milk or its produce at a price frequently unremunerative, with a maximum amount of labor aud risk, and on the other hand being placed m a position to avoid the credit and exebnnge systems with their attending drawbacks. (5.) Accepting tho possibility that a market must be entered outside the boundaries of the ColonSs, tho now established steam transit to the Old World, and the improvements of the refrigerating principle, place the Home Markets so near that a field tor all the goods manufactured is open at but a fraction ove.r the cost of sending to markets nearer to our door. (6.) Waste m connection with a properly conducted Dairy Factory is prevented, as every particle of waste 13 utilised m feeding pigs, and they m course aro brought to the credit of revenue m the shape of Bacon and Hams. (7.) From tho foregoing considerations the Provisional Directors l.nvo confidence m presenting the claims of this Company to the farmers of tho district, as, by them boing shareholders m the venture, they not only secure a ready market for their milk and pigs but a participation m the profits of the concern. That theso are m tlie highest degree satisfactory from an investor's point of Tiew, tho reported success of Factories already m operation, and the number of now Companies now starting m various parts of the Colony is conclusive, while to the Public generally it may be affirmed that an investment with better prospects is rarely ever bronght before their notice. 6-9 5932.
