Broker : Mr W. S. Masliu. The Provisional Directors present this Prospectus to the public generally, and at tho same time would direct the special attention of Farmers m the immediate district to some of the advantages secured by making Dairy Produce under the Factory system. (1.) It is an accepted commercial axiom that where the greatest quantity of any article can be made at a given price the profits thereon are greater, and the success of the enterprise is more fully assured. (2.) The cost of manufacturing is proportionally less to the quantity made by the minia of price paid for the raw material, the economising of the necessary labor, the nse of the best and Litest machinery, and the centering of all tho operations m one establishment specially designed for the purpose, the whole being carried on under the supervision of a thoroughly practical Manager, thereby securing the utmost quantity obtainable from the raw material and a uniformity of quality which becomes m the markets a standard commodity of a certain value. (3.) A combination of capital and the interests inseparable therefrom, as herein proposed, opens for itself a market of consumption no privately directed scheme can ever attain, while the opportunities for improvement are immeasurably greater, and the certainty of more speedy returns at the highest rates secured. (4.) In the sale of his milk to tho Company tho Farmer finds a sure and easy way of at once of converting this resource into cash, as it is intended to settle for the milk by monthly payments, thus avoiding on the one hand the disposing of either the milk or its produce at a price frequently unremunerative, with a maximum amount of labor and risk, and on the other hand beiug placed m a position to avoid the credit and exchange systems with their attending drawbacks. (5.) Accepting the possibility that a market must be entered outside the boundaries of the Colonies, the now established steam transit to the Old World, and the improvements of the refrigerating principle, place the Home Markets so near that a field for all the goods manufactured is open at but a fraction over the cost of sending to markets nearer to our door. (G.) Waste m connection with a properly conducted Dairy Factory is prevented, a3 every particle of waste is utilised m feeding pigs, and they m course are brought to tho credit of revenuo m the shapo of Bacon and Hams. (7.) From the foregoing considerations the ProvisioHal Directors havo confidence m pre« • senting the claims of this Company to the farmers of the district, as, by them being shareholders m the venture, they not only secure a ready market for their milk and pigs but a participation m tho profits of the concorn. That these are m tho highest degree satisfactory from an investor's point of view, the reported success of Factories already m operation, and the number of new Companies now starting m various parts of the Colony is conclusive, while to the Public generally it may be affirmed that an investment with better prospects is rarely ever brought before their notice. 6-9 5932.
