It ia announced that Sir Auckland Colvin, Financial Adviser to the Egyptian Government, has been appointed British Agent, Consul General and Minister Plenipotentiary m Egypt, vice Sir Erelyn Baring, resigned. Count de Lesseps will shortly arrive m London at the invitation of the Cabinet to conclude an agreement securing the necessary land, and to arrange other preliminaree for the continuation of the second canal through the Isthmus of Suez. [Received 0.28 p.m., July 7th. j Consols have declined by J, to lOOjf. The Bank rate of discount remains at 4 per cent, and the market rate at 3g per cent. The total reserve m notes and bullion m the Bank of England is £11,300,000, a reduction of £1,400,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has declined to 35 per cent. Colonial breadstuffa continue dull. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 465, and New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, has declined to 42s to 45a, according to quality. New Zealand wheat, c.f.i., is quoted at 41s 3d. Adelaide flour, ex store, remains at 333. Australian tallow ia dull and unchanged at 41s for best beef, and 42s Gd for best mutton.
