She left Newcastle on the 21st ult., and experienced light easterly winds and calms until tho 25th ult. j thence she encountered strong gales from the N.E., S W. and S.E., revolving every 24 hours ; on tho 30th wit. it blew a perfect hurricane from the westward, and Captain Blnse was compelled to heave tho vessel to for 12 hours, there being a terrific sea on at the time. She passed the Solanders on the 2nd inst , »nd came through Foveaux Straits with a fierce S.W. gale ; cleared tho Straits at midnight on the 3rd inst., nnd thence experienced strong W. and N.W. winds up tho coast. !
