In accordance with report of 27th of March last, Sergeant Sugrue has submitted to the Resident Magistrate, his report of inspection of the Licensed houses of this district : — HOTEL LICENSES. Norfolk Hotel, Batterby. — Deficient of conditions of schedule, one private sittiug room and six bedrooms. Waimate Hotel, Clarke. — Deficient of conditions of schedule, two bedrooms ; there are four bedrooms unfurnished with \vaslistaiul, toilet table, towels, &c. The present wateruloset requires to be moved, being too inconvenient and exposed to public road. OESEKAL LICENSE. Queen's Hotel, Butterworth. — House closed. REFHESHMENT LICENSES. J. Garrity. — Conditions of schedule complied with. S. Driller.— Conditions of schedule complied with. CONDITIONAL LICENSES. Daniel Brown, Waitangi ; .7. Burgess, Burkes Pass ; W. B. Jones, Makikihi ; A. McKiulay, Arowhenua ;P. D. McHae. Arowhouua ; M. A. Marshall, Rangitata ; T. Wadsworth, Orari ; W. Walden, Opawa; W. Warne, Point ; T. Pattersou, Waihi ; W. Bennett, Pleasant Valley ; W. lloss, Waitanjji River. — Conditions of schedule complied with, with the exception of William lloss, who was summoned for the non-fulfilment of conditions on the Gth of March last, and time given by the Bench uutil the Ist May next to complete conditions.
