TIMARU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
The Council held their fortnightly meeting on Monday evening last Present— The Chairman, H. J. LeCren, Dr. McLean, Turnbull, Healey, F. LeCren, and J. Inglis. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman read a letter from E. Jollie. Esq., the Provincial Secretary, enclosing a colored plan of the electoral districts of Canterbury. The Chairmau also laid on the table a copy of the amended Road Ordinance. The Chairman announced that that being the evening for the election of Clerk to the Council, he would open the tenders for the situation. Mr. J. E. Duff was appointed Clerk. The Council then adjourned.
