RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TIMARU — Tuesday, March 6, IS6(>. [Before W. C. Beswiek, G. W. Hall, aud IT. [Bellield, Esqs., J.P.s.] W. Massey v. Mansfield. This case was adjourned until Tuesday, March 13th, m consequence of defendant having to appear at the Supreme Court, Christchurch. Police v. Warsk. Breach of Public House Ordinance. Police Constable Feltou stated that an information had been laid some time ago against defendant, he not having proper stabling accommodation, according to the conditions of his Licence. The Bench at that time allo.vcd him two mouths to fulfil the conditions. The last time he (Felton) was at the Point, although stables were being built, the conditions were not sufficiently fulfilled, hence the present information being laid. He would however state to the Bench that the conditions were now complied with. The Bench cautioning the Defendant, and requesting him carefully to read his License over, dismissed the case. The application of Mr. Best, of the Pleasant Valley, for a transfer of his License to William Bennett, was granted. The application of J. A. Young, of Arowlienun, for a Wine and Beer License was also granted.
