There is splendid weather for the second day's races, and the attendance is larger than on Wednesday. Petono Handicap—Falka, 1; Volley, 2; Sedgebrook, 3. All started except Wedlock. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 1.44,4-5. A protest for inconsistent running was dismissed. Dividend, £69 lis.
Hack Welter—Myra, 1; Matarawa, 2; Dumdum, 3. Won easily. Time, Imin 47 4 sbkm ; dividend, £11 If.
Poarce Handicap.—Explosion 1, Boreas 2, Te Entißku 3. All the acceptors started. Won easily by four lengths wi'h a length between the second and third horses. Boroas lead into the-straight, but Explosion came with a great rattle. Time, lmin 56sec?; i dividend, £4 9s.
Spring Nurseiy.—Phooka 1, Black Wig 2. Time, lmin 4 2«ssrcs; dividend, £1 4s.
■ Second Welter.—Weary 1, Wedlock 2, Time, lmin 32£secs; dividend, £2 lis. Spring; Handicap.—Advance 1, Donovan 2, Volley 3... Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 30|sees; dividend, £1 15s. Plying Hack.—Punawa,i 1. Spider 2. Grey Ribbon 3. Won by a length Dividond, £4 Hp. Waiwetu Handicap —Sedgebroi k 1, Jabber 2, Rosella 3; • Won by a head. Time, lmin 2 15secs; dividend, £11 17s. The sum of £15,749 was pu! through the tote for tho two days, as compared with £15,780 for the spring meeting of List year.
