London, October 11. The Friuee of Wales, replying to a letter suggesting that he should intervene inlconnection with the strikein the engineering trade, deplores the disaster which the strike is causing to industry, but says it is not right that he should interfere. The recently formed Free Labour Protection Association has supplied several hundred engineers to Sheffield firms effected by the strike. Mounted police escorted them to the several works where they have been employed.
