London, March 5, Tliß llouro of Commons, by n majority of 9S,votedlbe sum of £20,000 for carry, ing out the survey of a railway route from Mombassa to Luke Victoria, Nayaim. Mr Gladstone opposed the vote, fearing that if the object was carried out it would lead to war with the natives.
