It was raining heavily for the second day of tho Wellington Racing Club’s spring meeting, but there rvas a big attendance. Results; Roscneath Handicap.—Martial Dawn 1, Dissertation 2, Backsheesh 3. Scratched; Whcatfiold, Zero Hour, The Hawk, Grotesque, Mixture and La Sin. Red Band collided with the rails and did not start. Won by a head. Time, 4.8 3-ssec. Tararua Handicap.—Miss Ifaid 1, Malaga 2. Strategy 3. Scratched; Kgata, Bon Bolt, Blissfulness, Eisteddfod, Wanignn, Won by a head, two lengths between second and third. Time. Imin, 30 2-ssec. Second Hurdles. —Maniahera I, Master Boris 2, Falstaff 3. All started. Won easily by four lengths. Time, 2min, 50sec. WAVERLEY RACES. WANGANUI, Oct. 25. Tho AA'a verier-AA’aitotara Racing Club’s meeting was held to-day in unfavourable weather, steady rain falling. Results:— Morton Memorial Maiden.—Ail Cerise1, Alidu 2, Malingerer 3. Scratched; Eldenhohn, Legato, Talata, Erin’s Isle, Passenger. Festive, Miss Elva and Skylight. Won by two lengths, three lengths separating tho next two. Time, - limn. 41sec.
