“PROFITEERING GOVERNMENT.” BUT LONGER SESSION WANTED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 23. At the request of the Woolston Borough Council, Mr. J. M'Combs, M.P., addressed a meeting on Saturday on tlie high cost of living. Resolutions were carried protesting against the high protesting against the high cost of livcost of livipg and also against the Government closing Parliament at present, and urging that the session be extended to discuss the problem; also thanking Mr. M‘Combs, as the local member, and “the other comrades of the Labour party for their fight against a profiteering Government.”
