MESOPOTAMIA.
ANOTHER SERIOUS TURN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. LONDON, August 19. The War Office states that further outbreaks have occurred in Mesopotamia on a considerable scale, particularly ftorth-east and west of Bagdad. Bands of tribesmen cut the railways and the telegraph from Bagdad to Kifri Eiruwards. Part of the garrison here was invested, and several railway bridges were burnt. The Euphrates communications with the Radami and Feluji garrisons were cut. .Tribes south of Bagdad are quiet. Tile Kufah garrison is still holding out. The revolutionary movement, which was at first political, has become anarchic. The former ring-leaders are alarmed at the turn events are taking, and are throwing their influence on the side of peace. Reinforcements from India are en route.—Reuter.
