'AUCKLAND RAGES. THE CONCLUDING DAY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 9. 'Hie Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting concluded at Ellerslio to-day. There was beautiful weather and a large attendance. The totalisator handled £73,031 10s, which gave a grand total of £220,391 for the meeting, an increase of £14,523 compared with last year. Results:— Tamaki Steeplechase. Oakleigh. (Warner) 1, John Bunny 2, Monopola 3. Also ran: Totara Jack, Southland, Maira, Peria. Oakleigh led throughout and won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, smin. 18sec. Orakei Hurdles.—Deviation (War- - ner) 1, Kereone 2, Mary Bruce 3. Also ran; Keystone, Otara, Lady Energy, General Stephen, Ma Copper, Ohoreka, Multiplane, Golden Petal, Middle Mark, St. Carl, Toby, Gladwin, Mentmore. Omahu was in front two fences from home, when Slow Coach challenged, and tho latter had his opponent beaten at tho last fence and ran home the winner by a length. Seven lengths separated socond and third. Time, 6min. 25sec. Campbell Hurdles.-—Mill o’ Gowrie (Rennie) 1, Thrace 2, Ore Ore 3. Also ran: Cynic, Gluetanus, Pendoon. Won by three and a half lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, 4min. Isec.'
