By winning the Groat Northern Hurdles, Lochclla has incurred a penalty of 71bs. for the National Hurdles. Lochclla was weighted at 9.10, and for the National Steeplechase, at 10.12. The hurdler Beltane has been sold to H. Scarlett. The price is not stated. The Prince attended the Victoria Racing Club's brithday meeting. The weather was cold, and showery. Tho investments for the day totalled £41,939 compared with £33,563 10s last year. Tho total investments for the meeting were £108,667 10s, as compared with £97,607 10s last year. Results : Greenfield Hurdles, 1J miles.—Achilleus (T. O’Connell) 1, Calma 2, Awahou 3. Also ran; Golden Prince, Jack Svraons, Wild Pilgrim, King Star, Stray Shot, Spyglass. Crib was always in the running, and landing into the course proper with San Sebastian, tho pair drew away.
