J At St. Andrew's Church, Perth, West : Australia, on the evening of January 19, Mss Flora layer, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Ttryer, , of Crauboume, 'Victoria, and, niece of ■ Miss Hervey, “Duntroon,” Joel Ter- i race, Mount Lav/ley, was married to Mr. Leonard Gooaacre, second son ;of Mrs. and the late Mr. Hal Goodaore, of New Plymouth, Now Zealand. The Rev. J. Nisbet Bods, M.A., was the. offleiating clergyman. The bride entered the church, on the arm of her brother, Lieut. Heyvey Thyer, and looked very handsome in a simple but most effective wedding gown of white crepe de chine and point lace, cut square and low at the neck, the . oojirt train being lined with the palest of pink silk. She wore her .mother's bridal veil, most becomingly 1 arranged, and a wreath of orange blossom, and carried a lovely bouquet of white roses and fern. Her bridesmaid, Miss Jean \ Thyer, looked well in a very pretty gown of primrose taffeta radium and georgette, finished at shoulder and waist with bunches of tiny red and pink roses. She wore a hat of black net, and carried -a bouquet of red.roses and fern. Mr. Stanley Thyer acted; as best. man.. The bridegroom’s present to tlie bride 1 was * gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a pretty pendant. The bride’s travelling dress was of navy crepe do chine, with a very smart jumper effect, and relieved at the neck with a small roll collar of white in the samo material, effectively embroidered-in col-, oured silks. A becoming hat of mole silk completed the toilette. The happy couple were mad© the recipients ;of many beautiful gifts, ; ROBB—GOWER. ; A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, New Plymouth on February 25, when Lilian Isabel, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Gower, of Oakura, was married to Mr. John L. Robb, only ion of Mr. and Mrs. D. Robb, of Qruligniti. Mr. C. E. Perkins performed-the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty fiock of charmeuse and ninon, prettily trimmed with pearls, the train, (being lined with shell pink crepe-de-chme and finished in one corner with, Targe lovers’ knot. She wore the uriial Veil and orange blossoms, and carried, a beautiful shower bouquet. The tirido was attended by her two .sisters.., as bridesmaids, Miss Ivy Gower wearing pale pink crepe-de-cnine with black tulle hat, and Miss Violet Gower pale blue crepe-de-chine, with black i tulle hat, and both carried pretty bouquets. The bridegroom was attended Iby Mr. IV. Fergesson, of Hunterville,: as best man. , After, the ceremony a reception was . held at Messrs. May. and,. Arrowsmith’s tea-rooms, whore the .usual - toasts wrte honoured. .Later in- The afternoon the. happy couple ..left for Wellington; where the honeymoon is to be spent, the-bride travelling m a navy blue costume with hat to match.
