The Arbitration Court in its decision in the Wellington tailors’ dispute awarded a minimum wage of £4 a week against £3 15s formerly, and in regard to piece work the previous tmio statement will he continued with the provision that it shall be calculated at tlio rate of is 3d per hour instead of Is 2d. • . In the decision filed in the Wellington furniture trade dispute provision is made for a 44-hour ween with certain exceptions in establishments under the Shops and Offices Act. The minimum to journeymen cabinetmakers, upholsterers, chair and frame makers, machinists, wood carvers, turners,, upholsterers is Is IOJd per hour plus 3d bonus, and picture-tramers, wue-mat-tresaeis Is fid per hour plus 3d bonus; labourers, timber stacking, etc., ls_6d per hour plus 3d. bonuses, apprentices 15s first year, 20s, 255, 30s and 4Ss in succeeding years to the fifth. Tho award operates till March Ist, 1922. V
